As the engines roar and the excitement of Race Week fills the air, take your experience to the next level with a visit to the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum and the Pacetti Hotel Museum. Just a short drive from the World’s Most Famous Beach, these two historic sites offer race fans a unique way to explore the rich history of Ponce Inlet and the origins of beach racing.
Experience the Birthplace of Speed
Long before Daytona International Speedway became the center of the racing world, the hard-packed sands of Daytona Beach and Ponce Inlet set the stage for land speed records and early stock car races. At the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, you can dive into this history through interactive exhibits, fascinating artifacts, and knowledgeable volunteer docents who will be on-site throughout Race Week to enhance your visit.
Climb to New Heights
Step into the shoes of a lighthouse keeper and tour the historic keepers’ dwellings before climbing 175 feet to the top of Florida’s tallest lighthouse. From the lantern room, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean, Ponce Inlet, and the inland waterways. It’s an unforgettable way to take in the beauty of the coast while celebrating the legacy of racing in this historic area.
Special Race Week Hours
To give fans more time to explore, the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse & Museum will have extended hours on the following days:
📅 February 14, 15, 17, 18, 19 – Open 10 AM – 7 PM
