In addition to their permanent exhibits, the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Museum and Constance D. Hunter Historic Pacetti Hotel Museum celebrate the rich maritime and social history of lighthouse and local area by hosting numerous public and private educational events throughout the year.
Onsite Public Events: The museum hosts public educational events on various dates throughout the year. These unique events provide guests the opportunity to experience the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Museum and Constance D. Hunter Historic Pacetti Hotel Museum in a fun and interactive way at no additional cost with their regular paid admission. Onsite educational offerings on these special days include family-oriented workshops, hands-on kid activities, historic lectures, guided tours, and more. Public event offerings do not require reservations and are provided free of charge to museum guests with their regular paid admission. Please check the Calendar of Events page for more information about upcoming scheduled public events at both museums.
Onsite Private Events: Museum staff schedule many onsite private events throughout the year that require membership or preregistration to participate in. Offerings within this category include special exhibit openings, fundraising events, Wedding Ceremonies, private Climb with the Keeper tours, and the museum’s monthly Climb to the Moon event. Special admission/participation rates apply for most private event offerings. Please contact us by email at lighthouse@ponceinlet.org for more information about scheduling or attending a private event at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse or Constance D. Hunter Historic Pacetti Hotel Museum.
Onsite Educational Events: The Preservation Association hosts educational events specifically designed to address the academic needs of public and private school students throughout the year. These unique K-12 educational offerings are developed in accordance with Florida’s current learning standards and are delivered by museum staff and volunteer docents under the direct supervision of certified teachers and former school administrators. Special educational events like the museum’s biannual Homeschool Day are offered for an additional charge on a first-come, first-served basis and usually require advanced reservations to participate. You can also work with museum staff to develop a special educational event for your specific group. Please contact the museum’s Programs Manager Zach Hopple at education@ponceinlet.org for more information about scheduling or participating in a special K-12 education event at the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Constance D. Hunter Historic Pacetti Hotel Museum.
Community Outreach Events: The Ponce De Leon Inlet Lighthouse Preservation Association is very active within the local community. Lighthouse staff and volunteers can often be found delivering award-winning educational programs to public and private school students in their comfort of their own classrooms, presenting historic lectures at libraries, museums, and civic centers throughout Volusia County, and participating local public festivals and events. Please check our Calendar of Events page for more information about scheduled lighthouse community outreach events in your area.”
