May 5 @ 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

“New Smyrna, Florida’s Biggest Small Town Story” presented by Greg Holbrook, Executive Director of The New Smyrna Museum of History
Settled in 1768 during Florida’s British Colonial Period, the story of the development of the State of Florida plays out in the lives of the residents who choose to occupy an area along Florida East Coast known as The Mosquitos. Destroyed three times between 1777 and 1865, the small community continued to rise like a Phoenix from its own ashes to evolve into the community known as New Smyrna Beach. Join us for this fascinating look at Florida history through the lens of one small community as you experience, “New Smyrna, Florida’s Biggest Small Town Story”.
