Tuesday at the Tower: Excavation in Mounds and Museums – Putting Ponce Inlet Archaeology in Context

Join Rebecca Harris, Registered Professional Archaeologist and founder of SARI (Smyrnea Archaeological Research Institute) as she talks about her work in the Halifax-Mosquito Corridor.

For the past few years Harris has excavated at extant mound sites in New Smyrna and Ponce Inlet as well as examined artifacts previously collected from the area.  Learn about her progress in understanding the southernmost Timucua coastal territory and the importance of Ponce Inlet.
