Continue reading for ways to give your dad a perfectly special day in Ponce Inlet.

Climb the Lighthouse and Buy a Souvenir

Start your Father’s Day adventure off the right way by ascending 203 steps to the top of Florida's Tallest Lighthouse where spectacular views of the Atlantic Ocean, Ponce Inlet, and inland waterways await. Take a stroll around the tower's gallery deck and continue your adventure as you explore one of the nation's largest and best-preserved historic light stations. Be sure to browse the museum's maritime and nautical-themed gift shop before you go for a perfect memento to commemorate your day with dad.

Stop for a Quick Bite and a Drink

Climbing one of the tallest lighthouses in the country can make you hungry. Treat your dad to a delicious meal at one of our local eateries. Ponce Inlet is home to numerous waterfront restaurants including the historic North Turn Beach Bar and Grille which is conveniently located a few miles away on South Atlantic Avenue and Hidden Treasures Rum Bar and Grill directly across from the lighthouse on South Peninsula Drive.  Enjoy mouth-watering appetizers, fresh-caught seafood, juicy burgers, tasty pasta, delectable salads, and more as you look out over the Atlantic Ocean or Ponce Inlet while sipping on a cool beverage and listening to live music.

Take a Walk Through Our Parks and Beaches

In Ponce Inlet, it’s beyond easy to get in touch with nature due to our many natural parks and relaxing beaches. Dip your toes in the saltwater of the ocean as you relax on our corner of the World’s Most Famous Beach and soak in the relaxing atmosphere of our white sands and rhythmic waters. If dad doesn’t want to go to the beach, try one our recreational parks instead. Lighthouse Point Park boasts 52 acres of unspoiled coastline where you can take advantage of outdoor amenities including picnic areas, barbecue grills, and pavilions. Take dad down the many nature trails available at the inlet. If you are lucky, you may even catch a glimpse of dolphins and manatees swimming through the coastal waters.

Cast a Line from Land or Sea

Due to our location, Ponce Inlet offers limitless access to all the fishing that dad could ask for. There are plenty of public fishing docks as well as a 1,000-foot jetty at the mouth of the inlet where visitors can get their line wet. You can also choose to hire one of the many fishing charters that call Ponce Inlet home or rent a boat for the day and set sail with dad for an enjoyable day on the ocean or along the Intracoastal Waterway. Be sure to stop by Disappearing Island during low tide if you are out on the water to enjoy one of the inlet's most popular boating destinations.
