DESCRIPTION:The National Historic Landmark Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum welcomes all to enjoy a more relaxed alternative to Black Friday madness on the day after Thanksgiving\, Friday\, November 28th!\n\n\n\nAdmission to the special programs will be included in the regular Ponce Inlet Lighthouse fees. Special programs are from 10:30 AM to 2:30 PM. The lighthouse staff and its docents will offer workshops\, programs and a kid’s craft.\n\n\n\n\n\nClimbing Florida’s tallest lighthouse tower with its spectacular view from the gallery is always a special treat. In addition\, the station’s many historic buildings\, now museums\, are devoted to the chronicle of the American lighthouse service and the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse story. If you answered yes to any of these questions\, then the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is the place for you! We’re looking for new volunteers to help the museum meet it’s growing educational programming needs. Current lighthouse volunteer opportunities include: \n\nMuseum Tour Guide\nTower Monitor\nLiving History Interpreter\nCostuming Assistant\nSeamstress/Tailor\nWorkshop Facilitator\nEvents Assistant/Coordinator\nEducational Outreach Facilitator\n\nPrevious docent or teaching experience is not required and complete training is provided to all volunteers. The lighthouse has remained one of Daytona’s most popular biker destinations for more than four decades and this year is no exception. Come on down and enjoy all the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse has to offer before heading over to one of the town’s popular waterfront eateries for a cold beverage\, delicious seafood\, and live music. \nAs a special treat\, the lighthouse museum will feature a special exhibit chronicling the history of Motorcycles on the Beach throughout the week. DESCRIPTION:This month’s Volunteer Meeting will be held on Tuesday\, 10/14/25 beginning at 11 AM in the Education Building. \nThis meeting will also be open for new volunteer applicants: Do you have a passion for history that you would like to share with young and old alike? Are you looking for an opportunity to socialize with others and contribute to a worthy cause? Does the opportunity to learn new things and instill a love of history and culture in others excite you? If you answered yes to any of these questions\, then the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is the place for you! We’re looking for new volunteers to help the museum meet it’s growing educational programming needs. Current lighthouse volunteer opportunities include: \n\nMuseum Tour Guide\nTower Monitor\nLiving History Interpreter\nCostuming Assistant\nSeamstress/Tailor\nWorkshop Facilitator\nEvents Assistant/Coordinator\nEducational Outreach Facilitator\n\nPrevious docent or teaching experience is not required and complete training is provided to all volunteers. In appreciation for their valuable contribution to the museum\, volunteers are provided with a free annual membership\, scheduled luncheons\, off-site field trips\, and an annual volunteer award dinner. \nIf you’re interested in volunteering\, just show up!
