View the full moon as it rises above the Atlantic Ocean and enjoy panoramic vistas of the Florida coast by moonlight. Join the old lighthouse keeper as he leads you on your journey into the past\, and discover the unique history of this National Historic Landmark. \nOpen to young and old alike\, Climb to the Moon is offered only once a lunar month when the moon is at its fullest. Participation is limited to 28 guests per event. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are sold on a first come first serve basis. Event dates and times differ depending on the time of the year. \nClimb to the Moon admission prices are $35 for non-members and $30 for Preservation Association Members. \n\nPurchase tickets online: October 26\, 2026 Climb to the Moon Tickets \n\nMemberships may be purchased online by selecting the membership link below. \nBecome a Member \nEvent Cancelation/Refunds/Tour Rescheduling: \n\nParticipant Cancelations: All Climb to the Moon ticket sales are final. As the first United States Secretary of the Treasury\, Alexander Hamilton was charged with paying off the debt of the young country accrued during the Revolutionary War\, and to establish Federal control of all twelve existing Colonial lighthouses in the young country. During his term\, he and President Washington were very involved in the design and building of the first two United States lighthouses in the nation\, The Cape Henry lighthouse in Virginia\, and the Montauk Lighthouse on Long Island\, New York. \nEvent will take place in the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse Conference Room. Join the old lighthouse keeper as he leads you on your journey into the past\, and discover the unique history of this National Historic Landmark. \nOpen to young and old alike\, Climb to the Moon is offered only once a lunar month when the moon is at its fullest. Participation is limited to 28 guests per event. Tickets must be purchased in advance and are sold on a first come first serve basis. DESCRIPTION:This month’s Volunteer Meeting will be held on\, 05/11/27 beginning at 11:00 AM in the Education Building. \nThis meeting will also be open for new volunteer applicants: Do you have a passion for history that you would like to share with young and old alike? Are you looking for an opportunity to socialize with others and contribute to a worthy cause? Does the opportunity to learn new things and instill a love of history and culture in others excite you? If you answered yes to any of these questions\, then the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is the place for you! We’re looking for new volunteers to help the museum meet it’s growing educational programming needs. Current lighthouse volunteer opportunities include: \n\nMuseum Tour Guide\nTower Monitor\nLiving History Interpreter\nCostuming Assistant\nSeamstress/Tailor\nWorkshop Facilitator\nEvents Assistant/Coordinator\nEducational Outreach Facilitator\n\nPrevious docent or teaching experience is not required and complete training is provided to all volunteers. In appreciation for their valuable contribution to the museum\, volunteers are provided with a free annual membership\, scheduled luncheons\, off-site field trips\, and an annual volunteer award dinner. \nIf you’re interested in volunteering\, just show up!
