DESCRIPTION:Visit the Ponce Inlet Lighthouse and catch the spirit of 1945! Established by Congress in 2010\, Spirit of 45’ Day coincides with August 14\, 1945\, the pivotal date in our nation’s history when President Truman officially announced that WWII had come to an end. Tour the historic light station and enjoy special programs that focus on Florida’s contributions to the Allied victory and the unique role lighthouses played in helping keep our coastlines safe from German U-boats during the war. All special activities are provided free of charge with regular admission from 10:30 am until 2:30 pm.
