Woodshed Theatre and Privy Exhibit

Woodshed Theatre

The Second Assistant Keeper's family stored wood for their fireplaces and stove on this side of the building. It is now home to the "Woodshed Theatre" where you can travel back in time through a twenty minute video program that focuses on the Lightstation and its history. Discover how and why the Light Station was constructed and what life was like at this once isolated light station in the early days when it was still known as the Mosquito Inlet Light Station.

On the northeast side of this building, you will find the Second Assistant Keeper's privy which has been restored to its original condition prior to the introduction of indoor plumbing. All three keepers’ dwellings included a similar outbuilding that served as a privy and storage shed.
