Second Assistant Keeper's Dwelling

Second Assistant Keeper's Dwellinga collection of antique glass bottles fills one room of the house

The home of the Second Assistant keeper and his family is architecturally similar to the First Assistant keeper's home directly across the courtyard. This building once functioned as the first town hall for the city of Ponce Inlet, from 1954 until 1972. Today, it is our Lighthouse Museum. Featuring artifacts, photographs, charts, early uniforms, and documents, it tells the story of the Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse and its place in the history of Ponce Inlet.
